The Tesla Cybertruck is at the center of a fascinating debate that goes far beyond the boundaries of technological innovation. On the one hand, we see a group that sees the Cybertruck as a revolution, a bold departure from convention that opens the door to a new era of mobility. On the other side is an equally passionate opposition that sees the same vehicle as repulsive, impractical and even a misstep in the evolution of the automobile. In the debate about the Cybertruck, we therefore find not just a discussion about a car, but a deeper examination of human nature and the question of how we want to shape the future.
Today I had the opportunity to see the Cybertruck in the second basement of the shopping mall in our neighborhood in Shanghai. It’s definitely impressive. What I should think about it is still a work in progress.
