Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, known as the “Root of Shanghai,” showcases the city’s history dating back more than 5,000 years. Guangfulin was a cultural, political, economic center in ancient times. Its original environment has been preserved in the park, so tourists can see the authentic rural landscape, agriculture and ecological culture of the region. We had only two hours and so we could get to know only a small impression of the large complex. But that is enough to make you want to see more.
During the week, there is plenty of room for long walks on the large-scale area and few visitors come here to this area. When approaching, one drives through an area with many villas and golf courses. Various universities, parks and also an amusement park can be found here. So plenty of opportunity for further visits.
